Intervention 2 and 3
Dr Subodh Kumar graduated from K.G.’s Medical College, Lucknow in 1992-93 after which he pursued his surgical training at GSVM Medical College, Kanpur. He joined AIIMS as Senior Resident in 1999 and then as a faculty member in 2005. He is presently working as Additional Professor, Trauma Surgery & Critical Care at JPN Apex Trauma Center, AIIMS. His main interests are Management of Trauma with special interest in Thoracic Injuries.
Dr Kumar is a fellow of American College of Surgeons, USA, Fellow of College of Laproscopic Surgeons Society, Member of National Academy of Medical Sciences, Vice President of Indian Society for Trauma and Acute Care (ISTAC), and Course Director and Instructor for ATLS, PHTLS, RTTDC. He is also course faculty for ACLS.
Dr Kumar was the recipient of International Guest Scholarship of American College of Surgeons in 2014.
He has over 50 Publications in indexed journals, 5 chapters in books, 3 research projects as Principal Investigator and 10 research projects as Co-investigator funded by DST, NDMA, DBT, ICMR and AIIMS.
Dr Kumar has 22 years of Undergraduate and 19 years of Postgraduate teaching experience. He is also involved in capacity building initiatives in India.
He has delivered many lectures in international and national meetings as guest faculty.
As a Co-Principal Investigator, Dr. Kumar is involved in the coordination of Intervention 2, setting up a Trauma Reception and Resuscitation decision support system in the JPN Apex Trauma Center, as well as actively contributing to the planning and implementation of a structured Trauma Quality Improvement Program (Intervention 3) at his site.
