Dr. Bhavesh Jarwani is a trained physician having also completed a Fellowship for the Academic College of Emergency Experts of India, an Indo-American collaborative group. At present, Dr Jarwani is working as an Emergency Physician and Associate Professor for the Department of Emergency Medicine at VS General Hospital Trauma Centre and N.H.L Municipal Medical College in Ahmedabad, Gujurat.
Dr Jarwani is an instructor in Basic Life Saving (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS; under American Heart Association) courses, as well as an instructor in the National Trauma Management Course, which is an acute trauma care course in India.
Dr Jarwani has 13 years’ post-graduation experience in both Medicine and Acute Medicine. For the past 7 years, he has been responsible for the Emergency Medicine Unit in VS Hospital Trauma Centre.
Dr Jarwani is heavily involved in the teaching and training of many under-graduate and post-graduates students in acute care.
Dr Jarwani is involved in Australia India Trauma Systems Collaboration Intervention 3, helping to develop a structured, in-hospital Trauma Quality Improvement program.
Dr Jarwani is also responsible for supervising the data collection for the Trauma registry at his site by working directly with and guiding the Senior and Junior Research Fellows. He has recently been trained in AAAM Abbreviated Injury Coding course.
